From a Nautical Estate- This vintage Brass Ship's Wheelhouse or Navigation
Globe Oil Lamp is a LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE PIECE. There are numerous photos
showing its details and condition. .
Quite large. Lamp measures about 23" inches from the lifting to downhaul
rings, Lamp body measures about 15 1/2" inches tall and measures about 14
inches across. All brass construction.
Red thick ruby glass globe for use as a Port Light, or to preseve night
vision in the wheelhouse when cruising or navigating at night. Glass shows
some bubbles from the Glassblower- Very showy.
Reservoir has a small hole on the top, which allows it to be easily
electrified. It could be easily plugged/ soldered to restore it to oil or
kerosene function.
